Today I am off to sample from Swedish food from the LULEÅ region in Swedish Lapland. You can get more information on them at www.visitlulea.se. On the menu toady is Kalix Löjrom a very rare caviar and reindeer. This will be a first.
VisitSweden is set to transform East London’s Truman Brewery into a traditional ‘Red Cottage’ to showcase Sweden’s artisanal produce from the regions of West Sweden, Skåne and Luleå in Swedish Lapland, bringing a taste of Sweden to London this autumn.
The three-day pop-up will feature a bookable and free lunch time club at 1 Corbet Place, between 12pm – 2pm on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th October. The ‘Red Cottage’, a dramatic reconstruction of the traditional red & white cottages found all over Sweden, will be transformed every day to showcase each of the three regions and their menus.
The ‘Red Cottage’ will be open to visitors from 12-2pm on Monday 22nd October to Wednesday 24th October. Places are limited and reservations will be on a first come first serve basis. To reserve your free place, please RSVP to: rsvp@redcottagesweden.co.uk
If you can’t get to Sweden but want to sample some of their culinary delights, contact them to book a space at the pop up.
