I sometimes get many from people who want to know if I accept guest posts on My London Guide and they want to know the guidelines. To make it easier than to reply to every email, the guidelines and the process are detailed below.
What kind of content do you accept?
Anything that is interesting or useful for my readers is good content as long as it has a London angle. It can be related to topical issues on London, eating out, concerts, London events, London history or it can also be derived from your own personal experiences. There is no minimum length for your post, but usually the guest posts have over 500 words. You can include images or even a youtube link for each post.
It is also a good idea to search my archives before submitting a guest post. If I have covered that topic in the past already there are good chances I’ll reject your post (unless you offer new insights).
Guidelines
* Your post must be original and must have never been published before on the Internet
* You agree to not publish the post anywhere else (i.e., in your own blog or as a guest post in other blogs)
* You can include one link in the byline, which will be displayed at the bottom of the post
* You can’t use anchor text for your byline link.
*The links can’t be to adult, gambling or gaming sites.
How do I submit my guest post?
If you have a post that meets the guidelines above, please send it via email to guests [at] MyLondonGuide.org. Please include the post in the body of the email itself, or as a word doc attachment.
You will get a reply whether your posts has been accepted or not.
