There are so many hidden secrets to London, from secret local shops to market stalls. One of the biggest hidden secret is The Dessert Deli, created by chef, Laura Amos. She makes the most amazing desserts and cakes that are sold in Harvey Nichols and Fortnum and Mason Food Halls, 2 of London’s top food halls.
This week, I tried out her Lemon Meringue Pie after reading about it on Twitter all week. It truly is the most delicious and it is so reasonably priced for the quality. She has been selling out of these gastrogasmic pies at her Covent Garden Stall weekly. The other delicious treats not to miss are the Millionaire’s Shortbread, sweet, buttery, crumbly and rich, all at the same time.
You can also order individual sized desserts for dinner parties, direct from her site or via the 2 food halls above. You must see and taste them to appreciate the quality. The Dessert Deli uses the best ingredients and doesn’t skimp on this, which is why they are so amazing.
The Dessert Deli can be found at the Northcote Road Market (in front of Gails) on Saturdays or at the Convent Garden Food Market on Thursdays.
