So the Mayor of London Boris (BoJo) has brought Ping Pong home, it seems. In the last few weeks, you may have noticed ping pong tables sprouting up in lots of odd places like train stations and on the Covent Garden Piazza.
BoJo controversially commented that Ping Pong was invented by the Victorian in their country houses, playing on the long dining tables and called in Whiff Whaff. So who is right?
This summer, over 100 ping pong tables have been distributed across London for anyone to play on. Just bring your own bat and ping pong balls. Other places to find the ping pong tables are Trafalgar Square, Heathrow’s terminal 5 and the Albert Memorial in Hyde Park. They have lined up a host of celebrities to play competitions as part of this fest so watch out for them.
